Our service

What we do

We work with children, young people and adults, their families and professional network, in their homes, schools, colleges and communities.

Support where it’s needed most

Inner Resources works with clients in their homes, schools, colleges and communities, supporting engagement in a variety of activities. Where necessary, we provide high-level (crisis) support to families and individuals where circumstances have become extremely difficult.

We work with our clients to help reduce feelings of distress, frustration, anger and hopelessness.

Our approach

Understanding, then acting

01

Understanding behaviour

Through open communication and observation, we explore why certain difficulties, limitations or challenging behaviour exist, what causes and triggers the behaviour, and what the person gains from it.

02

Practical strategies

We then develop practical strategies, interventions and solutions to manage behaviour, and support the person to put new, appropriate behaviours into practice to meet their needs.

03

Sharing with families

We share our strategies and interventions with parents and the other people involved in a person’s life, to help them manage better outcomes.

Every person is unique

Inner Resources recognises the uniqueness of each individual and promotes a hands-on, intuitive and analytical approach to working with people. This informs our understanding of the person’s circumstances, experience and needs, and is especially important when clients have difficulty with communication.

We encourage cooperative management with our clients to help achieve the best outcomes for them.

We aspire to help our clients into shared participation, rather than just observing life on their own and from the periphery.
