Who We Are
Inner Resources has been running successfully for over 20 years and is a small and focused staff team of individuals who came together through a combined vocation and commitment to work for the welfare of others. We operate more along the lines of a cooperative family run company, and the benefits of this include, but not limited to trust, consistency, reliability, long term commitment and development, low staff turnover, shared values, greater flexibility and personal accountability.
Inner Resources has provided services via Essex County Council Health and social care for children and families, adults learning difficulties teams, mental health teams, Local Education authorities, day centres, and respite homes. Inner Resources services are also accessible via direct payments and personal budgets.
Phillip Skelton, Director of Inner Resources, has worked for over 15 years in various settings for people who have ASD, learning, social, mental health and behavioural difficulties and the last 10 years of these has been working for Inner Resources. Phillip is also a Level 4 Qualified Person Centred Therapeutic counsellor and has experienced working with young people in a school setting and working with both young people and adults in his private counselling practice.
Staff are encouraged to pursue opportunities for their own personal development. This is to promote individual reflective practice and development and to enhance the service we offer to the people we work with.
We believe that our on-going commitment and demonstration to honestly acknowledging and moving beyond our own limitations is the motivation that empowers our work with others.
